Moore River (Guilderton) – Sunday Paddle and BBQ – 27 November 2005

2122

The plan is for a club paddle on Sunday 27 November.
Meet at 9.15  am for a 10.00 am departure.   Drive up that morning or come
up Saturday and camp overnight  (only a few camping places left) .
Exact meeting place to be advised.

The Paddle:  About a 12 km paddle on the Moore River.  Starting in Guilderton
we'll paddle upstream for 6km where we'll stop for morning tea at a picnic
spot by the river.  Then paddle back again.

BBQ:   Following the paddle we'll have a BBQ lunch at a nice spot by the
river in Guilderton.

Location:    Guilderton is on the coast about 100 km north of Perth on the
coast at the mouth of the Moore River.

Boats:  Finn/415/surf ski upwards – if you need a boat contact Gina Rogers.

Equipment:     Life jackets are strongly recommended, helmets are not needed.
Otherwise hat, sunnies and sunscreen. Something for a picnic morning tea and lunch.

Experience:   Must have basic skills or be an experienced paddler. Must be capable
of a 12km round trip.  All flat water.

Costs:   None if just paddling and bringing your food.   If camping overnight,
will have to pay for a campsite and food.

Camping:  Camping will cost about $10 per person.   There are only a few camping
spots left, so book now if you want to camp.    Some of us will drive up Saturday
some time and camp overnight at the Guilderton Caravan Park.  They also have chalets
at $70 per night for two people if you're too soft to camp.
