Junior Travel Grants
The committee has set aside $1000 per year to help junior members travel to competition events in the East or overseas. Paddlers can apply in October for up to $200 each for travel already completed that year.

Kayak Speed Tests
17 kayaks had their speed tested and compared by Rapid Ascent in June 2005 – well worth a read for anyone interested in racing or getting an extra few points on Friday nights! (also looks at stability, comfort, handling etc) – link here and a copy is on the Club notice boards.

Also has comments on likes and dislikes, and Comments for Beginners – very useful for anyone thinking of getting a longer boat including several sea kayaks.
