Moonlight paddle and social gathering 13th of June, meet at the club 6.30pm. This will be approx. 4km paddle, we'll go further if it's a lovely calm night, but no more than 6km total and it will be a slow, casual paddle. You must wear a PFD and footwear, and have a white light on you. Mainpeak sell suitable lights, which you can attach to your cap or your boat – you should be able to see the light all around i.e. 360 degrees, so if you use bike lights, you really need one at the front and one at the back of your cap or PFD.
You must be capable of paddling the distance, suitable boats are Finns, skis, 415, sea kayak etc., the little boats are only suitable if you are an experienced paddler. We will gather upstairs for food and a drink afterwards, it's bring a plate of food to share and BYO booze ( but as always, please drink responsibly). There will be tea and coffee available.
