Open Day Thanks
Thanks go to all the SCC members who made yesterday’s Open Day such a successful event. So many people came together to play a part in the day:
- Gillian Palmer for coordinating the event for second year – great job!;
- Kerry and everyone who came down for the Busy Bee on Saturday to made the Club look so neat and tidy;
- Isabella Choate for putting together such an awesome Junior notice board;
- Rowan Davidson, Bob Coops and the catering crew who fed and watered us all morning;
- The ‘Meet and Greet’ Team for their unfailing enthusiasm;
- The excellent ramp crew and team of dedicated instructors and guides who worked solidly from 9 until 12 getting people into kayaks and on the water;
- Lisa Bastian for providing unflagging support doing dry inductions and Evie Ferrier, Marion Ewing and Kate Vynyan for so efficiently handling the paperwork and signed up a great new bunch of new members on the day;
- And Mainpeak who donated a gift for every person who became a member yesterday.
A special thanks to the great turnout by our junior paddlers who created such a fun atmosphere on the water and got the youngsters involved.
It was really good to see the volunteers working as such a great and enthusiastic team portraying a very professional image of the Club to potential members.
