SCC Open Day – Sunday 18th October 9am – 12noon

The Club’s Open Day is happening soon, so if you know of friends or family who are interested in paddling and would like to give it a go, please encourage them to come along.

We need lots of volunteers to make this event as successful as last year. A few people are needed on Saturday 17th for a brief busy bee to make the clubhouse spick and span. On Sunday 18th there are lots of jobs to be filled, from showing people around the Club, helping people get ready to go on the water, running a BBQ and helping with dry inductions. If you can help in any way please contact Gill Palmer who is coordinating the day on palmergillian@hotmail.com.

Christmas Party – 5th December

Please keep Saturday evening 5th December free for our Christmas Party – full details and cost will be forwarded closer to the event

Mosman Park Council Election

Andrew Maurice (active paddler and the Club’s Asset officer) is standing in the North Ward at the coming Council elections so please contact Andrew if you are interested in his policies and view his Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/mauriceformosmanpark

Front door and the wind

In certain wind conditions the front door does not lock automatically. So when using this entry please pull or push it fully home and check that it is actually locked. It has been unlocked several times recently.

Balcony Improvement Update

We had hoped this building project would be well underway by now, but have hit a planning issue with the Council: the laws have changed and we now need to provide disabled access to our first floor. We are investigating ways to achieve this without installing a lift, so the balcony might not change for many months.
