Point Walter Guded Paddle:

Clubroom access update

Rod Fry Race : Sunday 2nd April

Point Walter Guided Padddle:
Saturday 1st April, start your month with a paddle on the swan river in the company of one of our instructors Gill Palmer. Ideal trip for beginners and those not yet confident to paddle on their own, as well as being a good social paddle for paddlers of all levels and craft.
Please email gil:   palmergillian@hotmail.com as the instructors like to know how many they will have attending and if they need to get a fellow instructor or guide to assist.

Clubroom access update:
We would like to remind our memebers that access to the clubroom during normal working hours (7am-5pm) is still restricted. It is still considered a worksite and it does hold up proceedings when the builders have to stop as members ignore signs and walk into the boathouse. We estimate that this work will be finishing this week (as long as there are no walk in delays) and that club members can access the cubhouse  24/7 from Friday evening. Upstairs will remain closed until Sunday 2nd April.

Rod Fry Memorial Race:
Sunday 2nd April. This is our annual club race named after the late Rod Fry who was a long-time member of our Club and a keen and nationally successful C1 and C2 slalom paddler. He was sadly killed in a car accident whilst returning from a paddling holiday at Yallingup.
The race registrations start at 0630, and the club will be busy so we ask that clubmembers who are not involved in the race either paddling, assisting or spectating, paddle after midday when most of the racing and festivities are over and the clubhouse and beach will be clear.

If you still want to enter please go to: https://www.webscorer.com/register?raceid=95146 there will be no late entriestaken on the day. There is a 3km recreational class for those of you who have never raced before and want to give it a go..
