The Nanga Bush Camp weekend is at the Nanga Bush Camp cottages – just out of Dwellingup.
The basic idea is to do some whitewater paddling on the Murray river, but a guided bushwalk will also be run on the Saturday, or you can just do your own thing!
Two guided white water paddles will be run : a Middle Murray run on Saturday for more experienced white-water paddlers and an Upper Murray run on Sunday for beginners who have completed an SCC Introduction to White Water course or similar. All paddlers must make themselves known to Elaine Lennox prior to the weekend.
Basic cost for the whole weekend is $98 (if payment received by Sept 5 – $118 after that) – Friday night to early Sunday afternoon – and includes accommodation in shared cottages (first come, first pick!) and two dinners and two breakfasts. Non SCC members can come too (extra $10). Unfortunately there is no discount for staying only one night, but you can join the paddles for $20/day if you have your own accommodation and food.
