Swan Marathon and Race Training series (SMaRTs)
Come down for a social race of 3, 6, 12 or 18 km towards Fremantle most Friday evenings. Competition is against yourself as you try to better your previous times. It’s not about beating others, it’s about beating the clock and enjoying yourself and maybe having a bbq or a drink after the bash and reliving the race. Remember to carry a light in or on your boat. This is a Peer Paddle. The size of the group varies throughout the year, to confirm that races are on a specific Friday please contact the organiser in the email link.

NOTE: During COVID-19 restrictions format may vary.

Intro to Paddling A Sea Kayak
Jan 17 all-day

Do you fancy paddling Ningaloo, Shark Bay or maybe the Whitsundays? Maybe closer to home: Broke Inlet, Penguin Island or Garden Island? Perhaps you would just like to learn how to rescue fellow paddlers, and how to ‘edge’ your sea kayaking so you can turn more easily.

Broke Inlet Trip
Jan 23 – Jan 26 all-day

AUSTRALIA DAY LONG W’END – BROKE INLET TRIP
SATURDAY 23/1/21 – TUESDAY 26/1/21

Broke Inlet is a large and scenic estuary near Walpole within the
D’Entrecasteau National Park on the south coast, about 400km
from Perth.

Using sea kayaks we will be self-sufficient and plan
to camp in seclusion for 3 nights on the far side of the inlet. Day
paddle options will include exploring the inlet’s islands and
tributary rivers, or heading down to the ocean outlet for a swim.

You will need a reasonable level of fitness for this fun trip, and
should have completed an Introduction to Sea Kayak course
with the club, or have equivalent skills.
