UPDATE: Parliamentary Inquiry: Recreational Activities within Public Drinking Water Source Areas

1276
Today SCC made our submission on this inquiry. Member Karen Green compiled a very comprehensive and considered submission on the inquiry on behalf of SCC. Through Karen`s fore-thought and knowledge she applied for an extension to the 13th November deadline, which allowed adequate time for completion of the submission that would otherwise have been difficult in the original 3 week time frame.

The Committee wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to Karen for the huge effort she put into this submission which read very well and addressed the key concerns of the paddling community at large, of further restrictions to WA’s paddleable waterways. We appreciate its not easy to find time after work for the things we all have to do let alone extras like this, so THANK YOU!

In addition thanks to the members who contributed comments for inclusion in the submission; Gena Binet, Paul Browne, Martin Crompton, Phil Harris, Paul Martin, Cam Patrick, Colin Priest (Colin also provided previous material from Bevan Dashwood and Colin Thorpe).
