We will meet at the fishing huts at Broke Inlet and depending on conditions camp on Shannon or Clarke Island or at Coal or Windy Point. As the estuary can be very windy and sometimes rough, this trip is only suitable for sea kayaks and paddlers who have done the Introduction to Sea Kayaking or have equivalent experience. Paddlers will need to carry a tent, as well as food and water for four days. Usually we visit the ocean mouth and paddle up the Shannon River, but you might choose to relax and stay in camp.
