Please join us for our winter time trials every Thursday night from the 4th of May… starting at 5.20pm for the briefing with a 5.30pm start time.
Choose between 3km / 6km / 9km / 12km distances – all within Mosman Park Bay.
All welcome – no experience necessary – it’s only a time for yourself to beat each week.

GEOFFREY TO CONFIRM EXACT DETAILS OF THE TRIP CLOSER TO THE DATE DEPENDANT UPON WATER LEVELS
This interesting 20km paddle, starting in the Serpentine River near Karnup Road goes south, downriver through Kerulup Pool and into the Mandurah Lakes.
We weave through paperbark trees and into open water at Lake Amarillo, Guanarnup Pool and Yalbanberup Pool.
Skill Level: 5 hours for the average paddler
We have changed wet induction through winter to a Sunday morning at 10am. Please make sure you bring wet gear (including footwear) and a towel and change of clothes if you would like to shower/change after.
This will change back to a Tuesday night in October through the summer months.

Yarragil Brook – Baden Powell Water Spout.
This is an 11.5km paddle through trees and grade 1 rapids with a portage at the Island Pool Rapid and exit before Baden Powell Water Spout
P.F.D’s and helmets are compulsory and it is suitable for paddle fit novices, who will require a briefing on white water safety beforehand.
There will be at least two white water instructors and the Paddle Australia Guidelines will limit places to about eight paddlers. This trip is best suited to short plastic white water kayaks with a spray deck.

Come for a winter’s evening social paddle on the swan, watch the moonrise and enjoy the river in the moonlight.
$10 per ticket – via https://swan.paddle.org.au/calendar includes BBQ and nibbles * BYO drinks
RSVP to Sarah Whittaker by 6pm Wednesday 27/9/23 (details below). You need to indicate if a club boat is required and your paddling experience (Sarah will email attendees with final details after registrations close)
Paddlers must SCC members and wear a PFD, you also need a white light on your boat to participate. NO LIGHT NO PADDLE
You can join the group for the BBQ and social gathering afterwards without paddling, please pay for dinner and RSVP to Sarah
Any course run by the Swan Canoe Club will require participants to be fully vaccinated and wear masks whilst indoors. Please confirm with your instructor that you are vaccinated. If you have any issues please speak directly to club admin at admin@swancanoeclub.org.au

This course is designed for people who have some previous kayaking experience, have the ability to perform basic paddling strokes and are able to swim at least 25 meters.
This course is conducted using sit in type sea kayaks. A club sea kayak and equipment are provided.

A Swan Canoe Club Introduction to Paddling a Sea Kayak certificate will be awarded to people who have demonstrated competency in the skills required for paddling a sea kayak and a controlled wet exit wearing a spray deck.
These skills are normally a pre-requisite for easy club sea kayaking trips.
Pre-requisites: Able to swim 25 metres in paddling clothes and PFD. For juniors under 18 please email enquiry through to admin@swancanoeclub.org.au.

Starting and finishing at ‘Jetty’s Bar and Grill’ in South Yunderup, approx. 1.25 hr drive south from SCC, approx 16km/4 hour paddle.
Paddle past riverside shacks and mansions, explore the natural environs of the lower Murray’s river channels and deltaic islands, enter into Peel Inlet, enjoy the dolphins and birdlife, picnic lunch at historic Coopers Mill, and an afternoon ice-cream at ‘Pelicans on the Murray Café’
