Kynan Maley’s Olympic send-off

Kynan Maley has been a proud member of Swan Canoe Club since he was a lad, and he is about to represent Australia at the Olympics in White Water Slalom C1 and C2. Although Kynan lives in Sydney so he can train at the white water stadium in Penrith, he has always proudly remained a Swan Canoe Club member.  He will be in Perth for a couple of days before leaving for Europe and so we are having 2 events at the Club to mark the occasion and everyone is invited.

The first event is 10am on Friday 25th May when he and Robbie Jeffery, his C2 partner,(another WA lad from Ascot club) will be interviewed by channel 9.  It would be great to see members down at the Club at this time to show the State what a vibrant Club we have.

The main event is in the evening on the 25th May at 7pm when we will have a social evening after the usual paddlebash.  Bring your own bbq and drink and have a chance to wish Kynan all the best.  This is just a casual affair and everyone is very welcome.
