NOTICE OF SCC ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The AGM of the Swan Canoe Club is to be held at the Club rooms at 7.00pm Thursday 21st June 2012

Please come along and hear what the Committee has achieved in the last twelve months, thank the out going committee and help to elect a new committee for the year ahead.

"Please note we will have continuity with the building Committee to see through the club extensions to completion."

We will also have a raffle for a voucher from our sponsor Mainpeak on the night along with a little mid-winter celebration, come along and meet the committee and your fellow members.

Better still nominate for a position – all positions will be open for re-election.

Please review the list of appointments below and consider what area you could contribute some time to.

Please send your nominations to the President or drop a note in the club letter box.

Your 2011/12 committee looks forward to seeing as many members as possible on the night to support our club for the coming year.

6.0     MOTION TO EXTEND OFFER OF LIFE MEMBERSHIP TO KYNAN MALEY

        Kynan is an SCC member now living in Sydney in order to pursue his Olympic dream. Kynan will represent Australia in the 2012 Olympics in Slalom C1 C2. Whenever in Perth Kynan helps coach the juniors and is always on hand to assist them at their national competitions. He gifted a signed shirt from his Olympic qualifying race to SCC immediately after his selection. Kynan was recently in Perth and attended a very successful celebration with SCC members at the club. Kynan is a great ambassador for SCC and we would like to extend the offer of life membership to him as an expression of our gratitude for his assistance and continued involvement with the club and mentoring our SCC juniors.
