December Paddling: Penguin island and Moonlight paddles
Weekly Social Paddles
Broke Inlet in January

Point Walter Guided Paddle: Saturday 3rd December.
Swan Canoe Club’s regular guided paddle from the canoe club to Point Walter Cafe and return. This paddle is for all levels of paddler and craft. A great way for new members to get on the water in a group with more established club members. An instructor/Guide runs this paddle to ensure safety and to give a bit of paddling guidance along the way.
If you are intending to paddle please contact Jennifer Houston:jenniferhouston1971@gmail.com  it is important to let the instructo know as depending on group size and expected skill levels we may need to organise another instructor/guide.

Penguin Island Sea Kayaking Paddle: Sunday 4th December.
This is the time of year for the sea kayakers to get out and about on the ocean. The day trip out and around Penguin Island is a great paddle and not too far or taxing for those who are just getting used to paddling in a sea kayak. As you can see form the pictures below it can be a great day out!
Please note that to do this trip you have to have undertaken the Intro to paddling a Sea Kayak course or prove you have experience on the ocean in a kayak.
To register for this trip and to get more information regarding the specific safety equipment/boat required please contact Geoff Palmer: freokayaker@gmail.com

Festive Moonlight Paddle: Wednesday 14th December.
Bring your festive hat and/or decorate your kayak and join us on the water for a paddle around the Swan river and be on the water for the full moonrise. Please note you will need to ensure that you have at least one bright light that can be seen from all sides: no light no paddling. We will follow up the paddle with a  get together in club room to continue the festive cheer (BYO food and drink). You must email sarah to register: sarahjwhittaker@hotmail.com as this is a popular paddle and we have to ensure that we have enough instructors/guides available to cover the numbers and skill mix of the paddlers.

Peer Paddles: For those of you who like to get out on the water during the week on Tuesday and Friday there are a couple of peer paddles that start from the club. These are great for those who have  done an intro to kayaking course and what to get to know their fellow club members/do not want to paddle alone. For more information on when these occur and to make sure that you understand what a peer paddle is please go to: http://swan.paddle.org.au/regular-club-events/
