New Club Kayaks : RFC

During the last Club Committee meeting on Tuesday 16 February it was decided to buy a number of kayaks suitable for general purpose (flat water) paddling.  Some of you will have noticed that three Club Geckos have been reserved for use exclusively for training courses and the proposed acquisitions will help augment our “fleet”.

The Committee proposes buying a number of Finn 4.25 Kayaks with rudders but will welcome suggestions from members.

Clean Up Australia Day

Just to let you know that Bay View Park (specifically the bit around the river and probably stretching into Mosman Bay) is one of 3 Clean Up Australia Day sites in Mosman Park this year.  Clean Up Australia Day is on Sunday 7th from 9-1.  Leah Knapp and I are coordinating the site.

If you have anyone who would like to help out with the clean up then please ask them to register on the website http://www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/Bay+View+Park or just turn up on the day.  If you are able to provide any other sort of help, then please get in contact with Leah or myself.

Best regards,

Walpole December 2010

Boxing Day 2010 to New Years Day a group of Swannies headed South to relax and play at Coalmine Beach Caravan Park Walpole.

While everyone else sweltered in Perth’s heatwave we had a fabulous time keeping cool around Nornalup Inlet. There was plenty of paddling, river exploring and bush walking. Of course there was also plenty of food and drinks to be had after all that exercise! And New Years Eve was a night to be remembered. The Walpole revellers included Tracy, Gina Chris & the twins, Jennifer & Andy, Paul & Patrick, Roz & Ian, Craig & Carlindi, Roland Kristina Annika & Elena, Fiona, Andrea, Aaron, Elaine & Colin, plus others.

Many thanks go to Tracy for organising it!
